After making their eighth trip to the NJCAA National Tournament in the spring, the Butler Soccer team checks in at No. 11 in the NJCAA Preseason Poll.

Sitting at the No. 11 spot for NJCAA Top 20 Preseason Rankings, the Butler Grizzlies will face Tyler for their season opener on Friday, August 20. Tyler is ranked No. 1 and will give the Grizzlies a chance to see where they stand this season.

Moving up 5 spots from last season's No. 16 ranking, the Grizzlies are ready for the upcoming season. Since 2011, the team has been consecutively placed in the preseason rankings.

Throughout the season Butler will face many other top 20 teams including Seminole State, Laramie County, Rose State, Kansas City Kansas, and Casper.

The major successes of last season consist of winning the region title and making their eighth national appearance. Sophomore, Ellie MacDonald was recognized as a first team All-Conference player. Second team All-Conference players Natalie Amaya and Iyanla Bailey Williams will also be returning to the Grizzlies.
