For the first time this season, a Butler soccer player has earned the prestigious honor of NJCAA National 'Keeper of the Week'.
Kyrah Klumpp, freshman keeper from Valley Center, was named NJCAA Div. I 'Keeper of the Week' after a star-studded performance in goal last week for the Grizzlies.
Klumpp was able to keep a clean sheet for her 120+ minutes in goal for the Grizzlies last week helping the No. 9-ranked Grizzlies to two wins. Klumpp started and played the first 78 minutes in a 3-0 victory over #RV Kansas City, while recording two saves on both shots on goal. Klumpp then started and played the first 45 minutes in the game vs Hutchinson. The Grizzlies won the game 5-0 behind Klumpp's two saves, including a 1v1 save midway through the first half. Klumpp is now 3-2-1 on the season, facing six teams who have been in the NJCAA National Rankings. Klumpp currently has a 0.91 GAA on the season.
