McAlpine named KJCCC Player of the Week

After leading her team to a KJCCC East Championship, Butler sophomore Kim McAlpine was named KJCCC Player of the Week.

McAlpine, the 5-8 sophomore from Scotland, continued her torrid scoring pace for the Grizzlies last week scoring three goals on the week. McAlpine has now recorded at least one goal in every KJCCC match this season. She has scored in 11 consecutive games and now has 19 goals on the season, good for top spot in the KJCCC. McApline's scoring tally has her fifth best of all NJCAA D1 players. This past week, McAlpine was able to net a goal and assist in the Grizzlies' 3-2 victory at Kansas City and then scored a brace in Butler's 8-0 win over Neosho, to finish the week.

This marks the second time MCAlpine has been named conference player of the week and sixth time a Grizzly has earned the award.
