Kyrah Klumpp named NJCAA National Goalkeeper of the Week

After a big week recording two shutouts, Butler sophomore Kyrah Klumpp has been named the National Women's Soccer Goalkeeper of the Week.

Valley Center native, Kyrah Klumpp, was yet again big for Butler in the Grizzlies 2-0 week. Klumpp ran her record to 7-2-1 on the season with a two shutouts this past week.  Klumpp started and played the first 70 minutes in a 4-0 victory over Neosho County in the midweek matchup.  She then logged all 90 minutes in a 3-0 win vs No. 17 Hutchinson at home on Saturday night.  Klumpp has a 1.17 GAA on the season and is nearing 1,000 minutes logged. Klumpp is a big reason the Grizzlies are leading the KJCCC and currently ranked No. 6 in the country.

"So happy to see her get recognized nationally," said head coach Adam Hunter. "She is one of the backbones of this team and I am proud of all the work she has put in to be in this position."

Klumpp becomes the first Butler Soccer player to be recognized nationally this season. She joins other Kansas natives, Butler football players, Carson Arndt (Wichita, KS), Norman Massey (Wichita, KS) and AJ King (Wichita, KS) who have all been recognized this season on a national level.
