Grizzlies extend win streak to 14-games, defeat Cloud County on the road Wednesday night

The Butler Volleyball team, now 18-0 overall and 4-0 in conference action, extended their winning streak to 14-games after a three-set win over Cloud County on the road Wednesday night.

After a slow start to the night for the Grizzlies, which saw Cloud leading early in the first set, Butler found their groove and never looked back. Butler won in straight sets 25-18, 25-15 and 25-16. With the Butler win, Cloud County remains winless in Jayhawk action.

Butler did not make many errors offensively playing sound volleyball hitting .301 on the night, one of their better hitting nights of the season. KJCCC Defensive Player of the Week, Jaryn Benning, finished the night with a team high nine kills, six digs and four blocks. Kayli Duncan finished with eight kills in the match, no errors and hit .727. Macie Shaver finished the night with 16 set assists while Rainey Aven added in 14. Caitlyn Rexroat had a team high 10 digs.

The Grizzlies are leading the conference and are currently the only team in the Jayhawk without a conference loss. No. 7-ranked Butler will get a strong test as the Grizzlies will play host to No. 10 Seward on Saturday, September 25 at 2:00pm in the Power Plant.
