Butler Volleyball climbs up four spots to #13 in final regular season poll of season

The Grizzlies ended their season on a tremendous high with two fantastic victories over Hutchinson and thirteenth ranked Seward at the Power Plant last week. The Grizzlies secured a share of the conference championship and moved up in the last edition of the national polls, climbing to 13th in the country.

The Grizzlies jump four spots from 17th last week, and it's their highest rank in the polls since the preseason when they came into the season ranked fifth. Butler jumps over Seward with the victory over the Saints, and they earn their fourth victory over a ranked team this season, the others coming against Hutch, Mineral Area, and Trinity Valley.

Butler secured their co-championship on Friday in their last regular season game against the Blue Dragons and have now won at least a share of the title for two years in a row. The Grizzlies will begin the postseason with a final game in the Power Plant on Wednesday night against the Colby Trojans. A victory will move the Grizzlies into the Region VI semi finals with the chance for potential rematches against both Hutch and the Saints as four teams will battle it out for a chance to head to the national tournament.
