Kelly named Offensive Player of the Week for second week in a row

For the second straight week, sophomore middle blocker Kennedy Kelly has been named the Jayhawk Conference Offensive Player of the Week.

Kennedy Kelly, sophomore middle blocker from Frisco, TX, was dominant yet again, as she helped lead the Grizzlies to a 2-0 week that saw them come from behind to defeat #13 Seward as well a quick 3-0 sweep of the Blue Dragons on Friday night. Kelly had a team high 16 kills in the Grizzlies five-set thriller over Seward, which kept Butler in the hunt for a share of the KJCCC title. Friday night was much of the same for Kelly as she hit .727 putting away eight balls with zero errors in the blistering win over Hutchinson. She also finished the week with nine blocks, seven coming in the Win over #13 Seward. Kelly still holds the top spot in the nation in attack percentage hitting .405% this season.

This is the second straight week and third time this season Kelly has been named Offensive Player of the Week and now the seventh time a Grizzly has won the honor thhis season.
