Butler volleyball middle blocker Raven Boone and soccer midfielder Emma Kolbe have been selected as the Butler Grizzly Athletes of the Week for the week of Oct. 16 through Oct. 22, presented by White Eagle Credit Union.

Raven Boone (Volleyball)

Boone, a freshman from Gardner, helped Butler to a 3-0 week as they improved to fourth place in the KJCCC standings. Boone posted double-digit kills in each match with an impressive average hitting percentage of .408 on the week. In a five-set win over Cloud County, Boone totaled 12 kills and two blocks. In a 3-0 sweep of Garden City, Boone hit a whopping .588%, landing 11 kills to go with three blocks and two digs. Finally on Saturday, the Grizzlies defeated first place Barton, snapping the Cougars 12-match win streak. Boone had a career-high 15 kills on .342 hitting to go with three blocks and two digs

Emma Kolbe (Soccer)

Kolbe, a sophomore Mulvane native, played a big role in Butler’s 2-0-week last week as they closed the regular season out. On Wednesday, Butler defeated Seward 5-1 as Kolbe netted an unassisted goal to put the Grizzlies ahead 2-0 in the first half. In the season finale that served as sophomore day and Kolbe’s last home game as a Grizzly, she was responsible for five points as she scored a goal and assisted on three others, a career-high.
