Butler women’s basketball guard Dayuna Colvin and men’s basketball forward Charles McClennahan Jr. have been selected as the White Eagle Credit Union Athletes of the Week for the week of Dec. 4 through Dec. 10.

Dayuna Colvin (Women’s Basketball)

Colvin, a sophomore from Kennesaw, Georgia, played a key part in Butler’s 2-0 week as they moved to 12-0 on the season. The Grizzlies earned a win over Garden City on the road and No. 14 Dodge City at home. At Garden City, Colvin finished with 15 points, four steals and three assists helping Butler to a 89-55 victory. In the home win over the No. 14 Conquistadors, Colvin stuffed the stat sheet. She tallied 11 points, a team-high seven assists, four steals and four rebounds. Butler is off until January 3rd on winter break. They are 12-0, 6-0 in the KJCCC on the season.

Charles McClennahan Jr. (Men’s Basketball)

McClennahan Jr., a sophomore from Winston-Salem, North Carolina, had his best statistical week as a Grizzly. He helped Butler to a 2-0 week with a road win at Garden City and a home win over Dodge City. In the win at Garden City, McClennahan posted 10 points and 11 rebounds, his first career double-double. He also tallied three assists. In the home win over Dodge City he finished with a career-high 18 points to go with eight rebounds and two assists. Butler is off until January 3rd on winter break. They are 10-2, 5-1 in the KJCCC on the season.
