Butler softball shortstop Aly Hageman and baseball outfielder Garrett Fager have been selected as the White Eagle Credit Union Athletes of the Week for the week of Feb. 19th through Feb. 25th.

Aly Hageman (Softball)

Hageman, a sophomore infielder from Kingman, Kan., helped Butler to a doubleheader sweep of Garden City with her impressive performance at the plate. She had a perfect 1.000 batting average with six hits in six at bats as well as two walks. Hageman slugged three home runs, drove in eight runs and scored five runs across the two wins at Garden City. In the first game Hageman tallied three hits and two RBI. She had a double and a home run. In the second game she had three more hits including two home runs, driving in six runs. She also walked twice. For the season Hageman is hitting .469, slugging 1.094. She has 15 hits, 15 RBI, 15 walks and four home runs with a .633 on-base percentage.

Garrett Fager (Baseball)

Fager, a sophomore outfielder from Reading, Kan., started all three games for Butler last week as they secured a series win at Eastern Oklahoma State. He hit .556 on the weekend with a .765 on-base percentage, totaling five hits, seven runs driven in, eight runs scored and seven walks. He also stole four bases. In the second game of the series Fager drove in seven runs alone. He hit a three-run home run in the top of the second to put the Grizzlies ahead 4-2, also walking twice in the game and scoring three runs. In the series finale Fager drew four walks and stole three bases. For the season he is hitting .353 with a .522 on-base percentage. Fager has totaled 12 hits (five doubles and two home runs) as well as 12 RBI and 10 walks.
