Butler women’s basketball guard Randi Harding and baseball reliever Jack Haag have been selected as the White Eagle Credit Union Athletes of the Week for the week of March 11th through March 17th.

Randi Harding (Women’s Basketball)

Harding, a sophomore from Mustang, Okla., helped Butler women’s basketball to a Region VI championship appearance last week. Harding finished with double-digit points in all three games, also helping direct the Grizzlies offense from her guard spot. In the quarterfinal win over Seward Harding dished out seven assists as well as hauling in six rebounds and scoring 11 points. Harding finished with 14 points in the championship loss to Hutchinson to lead the Grizzlies, knocking down two threes, also adding three rebounds and two assists.

Jack Haag (Baseball)

Haag, a freshman from Montgomery, Texas, had three scoreless appearances for Butler in their series win over Hutchinson, also adding to his conference lead with two saves to run his total up to six on the season. Haag pitched both games on Thursday at home, throwing the seventh in game one, sitting the Blue Dragons down in order to get the win. He then came on to pitch the ninth in game two, earning his fifth save as he forced two groundouts and had a strikeout. Haag’s sixth save came Saturday in Hutchinson as he threw the seventh in a 5-4 Grizzly win. He has thrown 9.2 innings this season allowing just two runs with a 1.86 ERA.
