Landoll, a Wichita, KS native and Kapaun Mt. Carmel graduate, brings great experience to the staff having coached in several roles at all levels of college football.

Most recently, Landoll spent the last two seasons as the defensive Coordinator for the Highland Scotties. There, he was able to produce nine All-Conference players and two NJCAA All-Americans.  One of his defensive ends concluded the 2021 season leading the nation in sacks. In his time at Highland, 11 defensive players signed to play Div. I FCS or higher.

Other stops for Landoll include University of Saint Mary (KS)/ NAIA – Linebackers coach,

Bethel College (KS)/ NAIA – Defensive Line coach, Northwestern State (LA)/ FCS D1 – Asst. Defensive Line coach, Missouri Southern State University (MO)/ D2 – Defensive Line Coach/ Academic Coordinator, Northwestern State (LA)/ FCS D1 Asst. Defensive Line coach, Northeast CC (MS)/ MS JUCO – Defensive Line Coach.

While at Northwestern State, Landoll had a former graduate assistant that he mentored who went on to become the defensive line coach at LSU and win the National Championship, he is current Baylor defensive line coach Dennis “DJ” Johnson.

At Missouri Southern, Landoll coached Brandon Williams who was recognized as the Div. II National Defensive Player of the year; All-American Selection, finished #1 in school history is sacks and was drafted by the Baltimore Ravens in the 3rd Round.

Coach Landoll has played defensive line since High School, but really grew as a coach under the tutelage of two defensive line gurus in the business.  The first is coach Jay Thomas, currently the assistant to the GM of the Tennessee Titans.  The second Coach Pete Jenkins, who following the recommendation of Coach Thomas’; Coach Pete has spent time with Coach Landoll in private sessions over the years.  You may recognize Coach Jenkins from a recent Sports Illustrated article tagged here https://www.si.com/college/2021/12/21/when-alabama-nick-saban-calls-pete-jenkins-answers-daily-cover where Nick Saban references Coach Jenkins as “The Wolf”.  This is a very difficult coaching tree to get in, but they are sprinkled heavily from the NFL down through the Power 5 schools.  Coach Jenkins’ group is regularly recognized as some of the top defensive line coaches in the country.

Prior to his coaching career, Landoll was a three-year starter on the defensive line at the University of Saint Mary (Leavenworth, KS). He became a 1st Team All-KCAC defensive lineman his junior and senior seasons, was All-Region and Don Hansen All-American his junior and senior year and played in the 1st NAIA All-Star game setting records for tackles for loss (4.5) and forced fumbles (3) in that game.

He graduated from the University of Saint Mary with a degree in Accounting and Business marketing.

Married to Bekkah in 2014, the Landoll’s have three children: Greyson (11), Laila Paislee (7), and Lincoln Thomas aka “Tommy” (3). They also have one hamster named Cinnamon.
