Isaiah Williams garners KJCCC Player of the Week Honors

Story by Wyatt Ebersole

Isaiah Williams' big week last week where he averaged a double-double has earned him his first Jayhawk Conference Player of the Week award.

Williams, the Grizzlies sophomore forward from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma was the key piece in the Grizzlies two big wins this past week. Against #13 ranked Coffeyville on Wednesday, Williams led the Grizzlies in scoring with 16 points while also pulling down 11 rebounds for his first double-double on the week and third of the season. On the road against Hutchinson on Saturday, Williams exploded for 24 points, tying his season high for points in a single game, doing so on an efficient 8/13 shooting mark and going 2/3 from behind the arc. Williams also pulled in another 11 rebounds in the game for his second double-double of the week and his fourth on the season. Isaiah is the leading scorer and rebounder this season for the Grizzlies, who have now won nine of their last ten games.
