Grizzlies Take Down Kansas Wesleyan JV at Home

EL DORADO, Kan. – Butler men's basketball defeated Kansas Wesleyan's JV squad 118-58 on Friday afternoon at the Power Plant.

Butler (3-1) defeated the Coyotes JV squad in what will be the Grizzlies only game in the 2023 season against a non-NJCAA squad.

Eight different Grizzlies reached double figures in scoring, with all five starters reaching the mark. Deuce Drake led the way with a game-high 16 points, also adding three rebounds, three assists and three steals. Jamichael Stillwell and Charles McClennahan Jr. both had 10 points and eight rebounds. Dorien Johnson had 15 points and five rebounds off the bench while Khalil Arnold tallied 14 points, four rebounds and three steals.

Butler was an impressive 50% from three point range (11-22). They never trailed and ultimately won by 60.
