  • The Butler Softball team will travel to Parsons, Kansas on Tuesday to battle with the Labette Cardinals at 1 and 3 PM
  • Labette is 2-0 at home this year, sweeping Iowa Central 11-5 and 5-4 last week
  • Butler is 2-1 in true road games this year, sweeping Seward on Saturday and the lone loss being at McLennan in the second game of the year
  • Butler is 3-0 this year when allowing three of fewer runs in a game and 1-4 in games where they allow more than three

  • The 17th ranked Butler Softball team will take the short trip to Fun Valley in Hutchinson to take on the rival 20th ranked Blue Dragons
  • The Blue Dragons are 10-3 on the year and as of Tuesday, they have yet to play a game in conference action this year
  • The Blue Dragons are 2-2 against ranked opponents this year
  • Butler is 2-0 at home this year and is 41-3 at home since 2021 with the only three losses being to Butler
  • Butler is 28-4 vs Hutch since 2004 and are 7-1 at Hutch since 2012
  • Butler has won seven of the last nine meetings
  • Last season, Hutch became the first team in the Jayhawk Conference to beat the Grizzlies since Barton did it in 2019 
  • In their four meetings last year, the teams split the games 2-2 with Hutch winning the first and third games and Butler winning the second and fourth
  • In the fourth meeting between the teams, the Grizzlies overcame a 7-11 deficit in the sixth inning behind a four-run top of the sixth to tie the game at 11 and a go-ahead homer from Madi Young in the top of the seventh to ultimately win the game
  • In game two of the series, Butler's Allyson Montgomery pitched a one hit shutout complete game in the Grizzlies 8-0 run rule victory
