Milosevic Tabbed as KJCCC Setter of the Week for 3rd Time This Season

COLBY, Kan. – For a third time this season, freshman setter Anja Milosevoc has been named the KJCCC Setter of the Week for Butler volleyball.

Milosevic, a Belgrade, Serbia, native, wins the weekly award after winning it back-to-back weeks on Sept. 19th and 26th.

She helped the Grizzlies go 3-0 last week as they improved to fourth place in the KJCCC standings. Milosevic finished the week with two double-doubles as well as breaking a program record. In a home win over Cloud County on Monday, Milosevic broke a Butler record for assists in a match with 53. She also added three aces, four kills, four blocks and eight digs in the match. In the sweep of Garden City Milosevic had 29 assists and 11 digs as she helped facilitate the offense all match. Finally on Saturday, the Grizzlies defeated first place Barton, snapping the Cougars 12-match win streak. Milosevic had her second double-double with 42 assists and 13 digs to pair with two kills.

The other Grizzly volleyball student-athlete to win a weekly KJCCC award this season is sophomore middle blocker Sydney Lentz.

Butler volleyball is on the road on Wednesday at Dodge City at 6 p.m. before wrapping up the regular season with two home matches, vs. Seward for sophomore day (Saturday, Oct. 28) and vs. Hutchinson (Monday, Oct. 30).
