Marines Athletes of the Week for December 18, 2018. Kamron Brice of men's basketball and Awreona Ransom of women's basketball.

Butler’s Kamron Brice and Awreona Ransom are the Grizzly Athletes of the Week, presented by the Marines.

Kamron Brice, Men's Basketball

In the final game before the Christmas break the Grizzlies snapped a three-game losing streak with a 92-80 victory over Northwest Kansas Tech, with Brice leading the way with a career high 20 points. The freshman from Tulsa, Oklahoma poured in 16 of his 20 points in the second half, including hitting four-3-point baskets.

Awreona Ransom, Women's Basketball

Awreona Ransom had 16 points and six rebounds to lead the Butler women in a 79-48 win over Northwest Kansas Tech in the final game of the first semester. She scored 10 of her points in the first quarter. Her efforts helped the Butler women improve to 13-1 overall, with a 4-1 Jayhawk Conference record.
