Before Butler:  he played at Abbotsford High School, in Chilliwack, BC, under Coach Andy Rempel. He is a transfer from Marshalltown Community College. He played for the club team Yorkton Cardinal, a summer team, in 2012. He is a pitcher. He participated in Team BC in 2008 and 2010. He participated in the World Baseball Classic in Florida in 2010.

Personal:  Maxwell is the son of Jody and Rita Chadsey. He has a younger sister. While attending Butler, he is majoring in accounting.
