Before Butler:  he played at Wellington High School, in Wellington, Kan., under Coach Jesse Dale. He lettered in baseball four years as well as basketball and baseball three years.  He played club baseball for the Wichita Reds under Coach Kenny Waddell.

Personal:  Al is the son of Rick and Robin Weiss and has four older sisters. While at Butler, he is majoring in Education.
