Butler's Koehler named KJCCC Player of the Week

Butler sophomore Evan Koehler was recently named the KJCCC Player of the Week for the week ending April 13.

In six games, Koehler hit .600 (15-for-25), three home runs, four doubles and had 18 RBI while leading Butler to a 5-1 record – including three wins against No. 11 Hutchinson. Koehler also scored eight runs with a walk and a stolen base.

Koehler now has 59 RBI on the season, ranking him second in the nation. He is also in the top 10 nationally in doubles (17) and home runs (10). Koehler, who had a 15-game hitting streak earlier in the season, currently has hit in seven straight and has at least one hit in 35 of 43 games this year.
