Former Grizzly star Clarisa Navarro Has Promising Future

Former Butler softball star Clarisa Navarro has a lot to look forward to. After a very successful summer in which she finished second on the team in hitting for the USA National Women's Baseball Team, she has already been invited back by Team USA to participate in the next World Games.

On top of that, she has is getting ready to play her sophomore season at the University of Arkansas after a big freshman season at Butler Community College, in which she helped lead Butler to a 45-10 record, Jayhawk Conference and Region VI championships and a berth in the NJCAA Division I World Series.

In spite of the level of talent that Navarro brings to the table, head coach Doug Chance says that she is always trying to get better.

"Clari is not only blessed with incredible talent, but she shows up every day wanting to improve." Said Chance. "She is very coachable and has a great work ethic."
