Asia Henry selected as KJCCC Division I Softball ‘Player of the Week’

For the first time this season, Butler softball player Asia Henry has been awarded with the KJCCC Division I Softball 'Player of the Week' honor.

Henry becomes the first Grizzly to pick up this honor in the 2020 season after eight Grizzlies were named KJCCC 'Players/Pitchers of the Week' a season ago.

Asia Henry, the sophomore catcher/utility, had a great weekend at the plate for the Grizzlies. Henry was six for fourteen with four runs scored in her four games played. She hit three homeruns on the weekend while chalking up a team high seven RBI's. She struck out once and didn't have any walks. Henry is hitting .321 on the year with a .750 slugging percentage.

Henry leads the KJCCC in homeruns this season with three, all coming this past weekend in Oklahoma and Texas.
