The Butler women bounced back from a narrow road loss at Hutchinson on Saturday to easily take care of Barton at home just 48 hours later, as the Grizzlies defeated the Cougars 75-62.

Butler trailed for most of the game's first 10 minutes. The Grizzlies were down 21-18 before Jamillah Bonner tied the game with a 3-poiunter with 10:04 to play. That started a six-minute stretch in which Butler outscored Barton 21-2, effectively taking control of the game.

Butler would lead by as many as 17 points in the period and led 45-31 at the half.

In the second half, Butler stretched the lead to as many as 18 points after a layup by Ashlee Ivy made the score 63-45 with 9:58 left in the game. Barton would get within nine points late before Jamillah Bonner scored the final four points of the game.

Bonner tied her career best with 31 points, which is the same amount she scored in a triple-overtime game at Garden City earlier this season. Shayla Williams also tied her career high, scoring 14 points for the Grizzlies. Ashlee Ivy was the third Butler player in double figures with 11 points.

Butler is now 19-6 on the season and 7-4 in Jayhawk West Conference action. The Grizzlies are still a game behind Cloud County in fifth place. Butler will now head to Colby for a road game on Wednesday, which is the third game in five days for the Grizzlies.
