Grizzlies remain undefeated; pick up 93-65 road win Saturday afternoon

The Butler women's basketball team (12-0, 11-0) pick up another win to remain undefeated as they defeated the Allen Red Devils 93-65 Saturday afternoon in Iola, KS.

For the sixth time this season Skyla Knight led Butler in scoring with 19 points, her third straight game scoring 18 or more points. Mekayla Furman had a season high 18 points to go along with five assists. The down low tandem of Nard and Mullins once again answered the call for the Butler offense. Tamara Nard finished with 15 points and nine rebounds in just 21 minutes of play and Paris Mullins had 14 points and six rebounds.

Butler held Allen to 29.8% shooting, the 11th time this season they have kept their opponent to under 30% shooting from the floor. They forced 24 turnovers and picked up 14 steals. Butler struggled from three going 3-18 but shot 47% from the floor and shared the ball well racking up 20 assists in the game, their fourth game with 20+ assists.

NEXT UP: Butler (12-0, 11-0) will head to Arkansas City, KS on Wednesday, March 10 to face the Cowley Tigers (9-5, 7-5) in a 5:30pm tip.
