For the first time this season, a Butler Grizzly women's baskeball player has been recognized for their performance on the court. Ashlei Kirven was named the KJCCC Player of the Week in week three of the season with her impressive numbers last week in the No. 10 Grizzlies two victories.

Ashlei Kirven, junior center from Beaumont, TX posted two double-doubles in the No. 13 Grizzlies two KJCCC wins last week. Kirven averaged just under 16 points per game and 13 rebounds per game in the two wins. Kirven provides a dominant inside threat for the Grizzlies and was consistent on both ends of the floor shooting 57% from the field while stopping the opponents inside game and not allowing many second chance points. Kirven is averaging 10.9 points per game and nearly eight boards per contest.
