Butler women race past Kansas Wesleyan JV, 96-69

SALINA, Kan. - The Butler women's basketball team scored a season-high in points in a 96-69 road win at Kansas Wesleyan JV on Thursday.

The Grizzlies were tied with the Coyotes 36-36 at halftime before scoring 60 points in the second half. It is Butler's highest offensive output since a 101-89 win over Neosho County on Nov. 10, 2009. Butler nearly hung triple digits despite hitting no three-point baskets in the contest.

Butler was led by Jamillah Bonner's 25 points, while Imari Lyons added 17 and Samantha Satterlee had 10 points. In all, 13 of the 14 Grizzlies who suited up scored in the contest.

The Grizzlies are now 4-1 on the season and will head straight from Salina to Council Bluffs, Iowa to take on Hastings College tomorrow at 5 p.m. and Bethel College on Saturday at 1 p.m.
