Two straight set victories kept the Grizzlies in the Top 20 poll that was released on Monday, as Butler moves up to 19th in the NJCAA, which is up a spot from last week's 20th place ranking. Thanks to two conference sweeps against Cloud County on the road and Pratt at home on Saturday, Butler continues to impress to pollsters.
The two victories improved Butler's record to 14-7 and they sit tied for first in the Jayhawk Conference with Hutchinson, who also came into the rankings, ranked 20th after receiving votes last week. Seward earns the highest ranking of teams in the Jayhawk Conference now at 15th, as they drop three spots after a 3-0 loss to the Blue Dragons on Saturday.
Six weeks into the season, Butler still touts one of the toughest schedules in the country, as the Grizzlies have played seven matches against ranked teams this season. It won't get any easier this weekend, as the Grizzlies head to Missouri to play Missouri State-West Plains for the third time this season. Butler will also see Trinity Valley this weekend, who will come into the match ranked eighth in the nation.
