Chloe Cardona and Ke’Vontae Walls-Burdine

Butler softball utility player Chloe Cardona and men’s track and field sprinter Ke’Vontae Walls-Burdine have been selected as the White Eagle Credit Union Athletes of the Week for the week of March 17th through March 23rd, 2025.

Chloe Cardona (Softball)

Cardona, a sophomore from Fort Worth, Texas, helped Butler to a 3-3 week as she impressed at the plate. Cardona finished 8-22 (.364) with three doubles and a triple, driving in five runs and stealing two bases. She had two multi-hit games on the week while registering a hit in all six of the Grizzlies games.

Ke’Vontae Walls-Burdine (Men’s Track and Field)

Walls-Burdine, a sophomore from Milwaukee, Wis., had a strong performance at Butler’s first outdoor action of the season on Saturday at the Bethel College Open. He turned in a fourth-place finish in the men’s 100m with a time of 11.02, a personal record. He also played a part in the Grizzly men’s 4x100m relay team taking first place. Walls-Burdine was the last leg as the team ran it in 41.74.
