Bio

Garrett Hanks is in his first year as the Director of Sports Information & Operations in 2025.

In his role, Hanks manages all social media platforms for Butler athletics, manages the website and stats. He previously served as an athletics assistant for the athletic department, where he assisted with compliance and game day operations. 

Prior to working in the athletics department, Hanks worked with BCTV where he produced all live streams for Butler athletic events from 2022-2024.

Hanks also spent time working for the Wichita Wind Surge, the Double-A Affiliate of the Minnesota Twins, running camera and operating the instant replay for the in-house video board and for MiLB TV from 2021-2024.

An El Dorado, Kansas native, Hanks received his bachelor’s degree in sport management from Wichita State University in 2024, with also a minor in workforce leadership. He received his associate’s degree in business administration and accounting from Butler Community College in 2022. He also received his master’s degree in sport management at Wichita State in 2025.
