The 2024-25 school year marks Jared Brown's ninth season as the Grizzlies assistant athletic trainer.

Brown plays a vital role in the success of all 11 of Butler's sports teams. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Jared was appointed to the KJCCC COVID Action team who met weekly to put plans and protocols in place at a conference level. He also plays an active role in the KJCCC Athletic trainers group and is one of the leads for the conference.

Jared, alongside head trainer Amanda Maiden, oversees the student Athletic Training Program which consists of 15-20 students a year that assist in the training room and games year round.

Prior to Butler, Brown spent two seasons as the head athletic trainer at Pratt Communtiy College. Before Pratt, Brown worked as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at William Jewell (Mo.) College for a year. Brown was also part of the athletic training staff that toured with the Harlem Globetrotters in 2014, spending a month and a half in China.

Brown is a 2011 graduate of Sterling College, where he earned a bachelor's degree in athletic training. An Augusta native, Brown lives with his wife, Madison, son, Kellan and twin daughters Hensleigh and Beckham.
