The Butler Grizzlies continued their successful start to the indoor track and field season as they headed to Pittsburg, Kansas for the Pitt State Invitational on Saturday.

Nazzio John snatched up the victory in the 200 Meter Dash, finishing with a time of 21.31. La'Danian Hendrix also finished in the top 10, coming in at 21.64.

In addition, John also helped the Grizzlies 4x400 team to a victory in the relays, as a team of John, Shawn Brown, Wail Bourahli and Nickory Richards finished in first place with a time of 3:11.97.

In the 800 meters, Zach Trotter starred for the Grizzlies, finishing fifth with a time of 1:53.54, and Bourahli narrowly missed out on a win in the 600 yard run, settling for second with a time of 1:10.67, just 30 seconds behind the first place finisher. Despite not winning the race, Bourahli's time of 1:10.67 is a Butler Men's Track and Field record, breaking a record that had stood since 1999.

The Grizzlies continue their season next week with a trip to Lincoln, Nebraska and the Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational next Saturday.
