After posting the #1 time in the NJCAA in the 60 meter dash at the Tyson Invitational last weekend, Butler Track and Field athlete Nazzio John has been named one the Jayhawk Conference Track and Field Athletes of the Week.

Nazzio posted a 6.65 time in the 60 meter dash at the Tyson Invitational hosted by the University of Arkansas last weekend. Nazzio finished fourth at the meet in the 60m dash in a race that featured multiple top sprinters from NCAA Division 1 and Division 2 schools.

John is the first Grizzly track athlete to earn a conference athlete of the week award since Wail Bourahli and Star Mpama both won the award in the first week of the indoor track season.

The Butler Track and Field teams will run next in the Indoor Region VI Championships this Friday and Saturday at Pittsburg State University.
