Butler Track and Field Competes at KT Woodman Classic Hosted by Wichita State University

Several Track and Field athletes took on Junior College, as well as Divison I, and Division II competition at the annual KT Woodman Classic at Wichita State University Friday and Saturday.

The Grizzlies took the top two finishes in both the men's 400 meter dash and the men's 800 meter run. Nazzio John comes away with gold in the 400 meter dash with a time of 47.36 followed closely behind by Shawn Brown with a finish of 47.65. In the 800 meter it was Wail Bourahli with the first place finish at 1:51.79, followed by Zach Trotter at 1:52.39 claiming the silver. 

The men's 4x400 relay team of Michael Thomas, Tomlee Thomas, Nickory Richards, and Zach Trotter finished in second place with a time of 3:16.43. 

Joda Campbell claims the bronze with a time of 14.28 in the women's 100 meter hurdles.

Late Friday evening, Khloi Bird came away with a seventh place finish in the women's 10 K at 39:04.11.

Javari Thomas finished eighth in the men's 200 meter dash at 21.35. 

The next action for the Grizzlies will be Friday and Saturday as they travel to Lawrence to compete in the Kansas Relays at the University of Kansas.
