Otim Named KJCCC Cross Country Runner of the Week
COLBY, Kan. – Butler freshman cross country runner Emmanuel Otim has been named the week one KJCCC Cross Country Runner of the Week.
COLBY, Kan. – Butler freshman cross country runner Emmanuel Otim has been named the week one KJCCC Cross Country Runner of the Week.
Otim, a native of Kikube, Uganda, registered an impressive performance his first time in a Grizzly uniform this past weekend at Hutchinson's Terry Masterson Twilight Classic.
He won the men's four mile race ahead of 90 other racers with a time of 19:48.0. He becomes the third straight Grizzly on the men's side to claim the individual title at the Masterson Classic.
The time was the sixth-fastest in Masterson history as the Butler men won the team title at the event over 11 other teams.
Butler next competes on Sept. 20th at the Missouri Southern Stampede in Joplin, Missouri.
