Otim Named Runner of the Week After 3rd Top Finish of Season
COLBY, Kan. – Butler freshman cross country runner Emmanuel Otim turned in another big performance at the Region 6 preview and was named the KJCCC Runner of the Week.
COLBY, Kan. – Butler freshman cross country runner Emmanuel Otim turned in another big time performance at the Region 6 preview and was named the KJCCC Runner of the Week.
Otim, a freshman from Kikube, Uganda, earned his fourth weekly conference award of the season.
He finished first at the Region 6 Preview at Kansas Veterans Home in Winfield, running 23:12.01 in the 8000m to lead the Grizzlies to a first place team finish as well. Otim's time was a personal best this season and he has won three of four events he has raced this season.
Butler cross country next competes at the Region 6 championship on Oct. 25th in Winfield.
