Men’s Cross Country Places 4th at NJCAA Championships
RICHMOND, Va. – Butler men’s cross country finished fourth nationally at Pole Green Park on Saturday afternoon as part of the NJCAA Division 1 Cross Country Championships.
RICHMOND, Va. – Butler men's cross country finished fourth nationally at Pole Green Park on Saturday afternoon as part of the NJCAA Division 1 Cross Country Championships.
The Grizzly men took fourth across all NJCAA D1 finishing behind first place Salt Lake CC, second place Iowa Western and third place Hutchinson.
Emmanuel Otim once again paced Butler's efforts, turning in an NJCAA All-American finish coming in third place overall (23:36.5) out of 191 runners. He was just six seconds behind Salt Lake's JaQuavious Harris who finished first.

Otim was both a USTFCCA All-American as well as an NJCAA All-American.

The day before the meet at the NJCAA Banquet it was announced that Otim was named the USTFCCCA NJCAA D1 Central Region Men's Athlete of the Year.
The cross country season comes to a close and the student-athletes will now turn their attention to the indoor track and field season.
