Team Stats
EL DORADO, Kan. – 18th ranked Butler softball completed a doubleheader sweep of the Pratt Beavers at East Park on Wednesday afternoon.
Butler (19-5, 10-4) picked up its 10th KJCCC win of the season in the game two win over the Beavers (7-21, 4-12). Butler has now won five straight games. The Grizzlies held Pratt to just three hits on the afternoon
Chloe Odle (W, 7-2) threw a complete game shutout in game one helping Butler to the win behind her nine strikeouts allowing just one hit. Butler led just 2-0 after three but plated two in the fourth and three in the sixth, earning the run-rule win. Three Grizzlies had multi-hit games led by Kim Yepez's three hits and three RBI.
Butler jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the first inning of game two. The Grizzlies outhit Pratt 11-2 and Caylee Mann's three-run home run in the third inning helped push Butler to the eventual 9-0 run-rule win in five innings. Three Grizzlies, (Ellie Randall, Audry Rumsey and Emillee Stofferahn) combined for the shutout with Randall picking up her eighth (8-1) win of the season to pace the Grizzly pitchers.
