EL DORADO, Kan. – Butler soccer goalkeeper Rylie Schiffelbein was named the KJCCC Goalkeeper of the Week by the league on Tuesday afternoon.
Schiffelbein, a sophomore from Mulvane, earned the first weekly honor of her career after making two starts as a freshman in 2023.
No. 12 Butler's first game of the season was a 1-1 draw with No. 3 Seminole State. Schiffelbein recorded six saves, helping keep the Grizzlies within striking distance as they fell behind 1-0 in the first half. No saves were bigger than a first half one on one kick save and a second half extension dive to her left to push a Trojan shot just around the post.
