Ingram, Runck Score Twice as No. 8 Grizzlies Defeat No. 14 Cowley on the Road
ARKANSAS CITY, Kan. – No. 8 ranked Butler soccer fought back from a 2-0 first half deficit to defeat the No. 14 Cowley Tigers 4-3 at the Cowley Soccer Complex Wednesday evening.

The Grizzlies (4-0-2, 4-0-1) remain unbeaten on the season and picked up their third win over a ranked team this season. Cowley (2-2, 2-2) lost its second straight game. The Grizzlies turn their attention to Garden City on Saturday as the Broncbusters travel to El Dorado for a 6 p.m. game.
Just two minutes into the game, Cowley struck first and made it 1-0 off a goal from Helene Braren. The Tigers made it 2-0 in the 17th minute as the Grizzlies faced a two goal deficit not even 20 minutes in.
Freshman forward London Ingram went on to score two first half goals for the Grizzlies, adding to her team-high tally of five goals this season. The game went to halftime knotted up 2-2.

Cowley struck first in the second half at the 63 minute mark to take the 3-2 lead. The Grizzlies then scored twice within six minutes at the 74 and 80 minute mark as sophomore Alayna Runck headed in two goals, her first two of the season. Freshmen Kaitlyn Gobel and Tyesha Nelson assisted on the goals.

Ingram finished with five shots including four shots on goal and the two goals. Runck had four shots total with two goals. Nelson finished with two assists. Reigning KJCCC Keeper of the week Rylie Schiffelbein was in goal all 90 minutes, totaling four saves on seven shots on goal.
Butler outshot Cowley 17-13 and had six corner kicks to the Tigers three. Both teams had two yellow cards.
