Ingram Named Conference and National Player of the Week for Butler Soccer
EL DORADO, Kan. – After a stellar week of play leading Butler soccer to two wins, freshman forward London Ingram was named the KJCCC Player of the Week and the NJCAA Player of the Week.
EL DORADO, Kan. – After a stellar week of play leading Butler soccer to two wins, freshman forward London Ingram was named the KJCCC Player of the Week and the NJCAA Player of the Week.
Ingram, a freshman from El Dorado, Ark., scored two goals in each of Butler's wins on the week, a 4-3 win over No. 14 Cowley on the road and a 6-0 win over Garden City at home.
In the win over Cowley, Ingram helped bring the Grizzlies back from an early 2-0 deficit with two first half goals. She then scored the game-winner vs Garden City, scoring Butler's first and last goal of the match.
Ingram now has seven goals and two assists, scoring a goal in five of Butler's seven matches. Among the NJCAA Division 1 women's soccer national leaders this season, Ingram ranks 22nd in goals scored (seven) and 29th in total points (16) with both marks ranking in the top three of the KJCCC Division 1 women's soccer leaders.
The Grizzlies next competition comes Saturday at 5 p.m. as they hit the road to take on Dodge City.
