Ingram’s Hat Trick Leads Butler Over Cowley
EL DORADO, Kan. – No. 8 ranked Butler soccer defeated No. 11 ranked Cowley on Saturday evening at BG Products Veterans Sports Complex behind three goals – a hat trick – from freshman forward London Ingram.

EL DORADO, Kan. – No. 8 ranked Butler soccer defeated No. 11 ranked Cowley on Saturday evening at BG Products Veterans Sports Complex behind three goals – a hat trick – from freshman forward London Ingram.
Ingram, a freshman from El Dorado, Ark., is up to 14 goals on the season following the three on Saturday. She scored twice in the first half and added another in the second half to put Butler (10-1-4, 10-1-2) ahead 3-0. Ingram has scored in 10 of Butler's 15 games and leads the team and conference with 13 goals in league play.
Butler sweeps the regular season from Cowley (8-3-1, 8-3-1) with the win after previously winning 4-3 in Arkansas City on Sept. 11th. The win puts the Grizzlies back on top of the KJCCC standings ahead of KCKCC based on points.
Grizzly goalkeeper Rylie Schiffelbein tallied seven saves and now has three shutouts on the season in which she played all 90 minutes.
Freshman forward Eva Preister scored her first collegiate goal in the 54th minute giving the Grizzlies the 4-0 lead.
Sakiko Manabe finished with three shots, two on goal. Tyesha Nelson and Hayde Flores each had two shots. Butler outshot the Tigers 16-10 on the game.
Next up for Butler is a road trip to Garden City on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
