Bio
Adam Hunter begins his 19th season as the head women's soccer coach at Butler in 2025. In 18 seasons at the helm of Butler Soccer, Hunter has compiled an overall record of 293-87-22. Hunter has guided the Grizzlies to 10 appearances in the NJCAA National Championships including FINAL FOUR appearances in 2013 and 2015. Under Hunter, the Grizzlies have also captured 10 KJCCC Conference Championships, winning five of them in undefeated fashion. While at the helm, Hunter has led the program to five 20+ win seasons. During Hunter's tenure the program has been ranked No. 1 in the country by the United Soccer Coaches in 2012 and 2016. Hunter is an alumnus of Butler and has served the entirety of his college coaching career in the KJCCC, winning over 300 collegiate games with a stop at Dodge City kicking off his head coaching career from 2001-04.

2012 Notes - Grizzlies set a new school record for single season wins with 22, their second straight season with 20+ wins. Team is ranked as high as #1 in the country by the USC. The Grizzlies make a return trip to Melbourne, FL where they compete in the NJCAA National Championships and again bring home the Lea Plarski Sportsmanship Award. 2007 Notes - Team finishes with a record of 14-5-1. This was good enough for second place in the ever improving KJCCC Conference. For a sixth consecutive year the Grizzlies were able to advance to the region semi-finals, an accomplishment that Hunter has never failed to achieve. | |||

Prior to Hunter’s arrival at Butler, he was the men’s and women’s soccer coach at Dodge City High School (1998-2007). His 2000 men's team was the first to capture a Western Athletic Conference Championship for DCHS Soccer. His women’s teams won a stretch of four consecutive WAC Championships from 2001-2004.
From 2001-04 Hunter was the first men’s and women’s soccer coach at Dodge City Community College (DCCC). He was able to lift the women’s program to an immediate contender in the KJCCC. In just four years, Hunter led the Lady Conquistadors to the region championship match twice. He also produced Dodge City’s first NJCAA All-American and Academic All-American. In 2004 Hunter was named the Conference Coach of the Year, along with former Butler coach Amy Estes.
Coach Hunter holds his USSF National C License, NSCAA Premier Diploma, NSCAA GKIII Diploma, and NSCAA DOC Diploma. Hunter is the Technical Director for Kansas Rush Wichita (KRW). Coach Hunter and his wife Mica have three daughters: Brooklyn, London, and Milan. Brooklyn will be a freshman for Butler Soccer in the Fall of 2021.
