Butler Indoor track and field had another strong weekend on the track this past Saturday at the NAIA/JUCO Invitational hosted by Pittsburg State University.
"Everyone competed really well this weekend," said head coach Greg Franklin. "We had a number of personal with a few coming up just short of qualifying for nationals. It was a good meet to test us against NAIA schools and will help us get ready for the upcoming larger meets."
The Butler men now hold four of the top five times in the entire NJCAA in the 60-meter dash as Morgan Jamison ran a 6.73 to win the meet and posted the third fastest time this season in the NJCAA. Jamison also took second in the 200-meter dash with a time of 21.48, the fourth fastest in that event this season.
Cameron Leiba had a great race in the men's 400 meter running a 49.16 to win the meet while the men's 4x400 relay team also took first running a 3:17.41.
Kiara Brown ran two good races in the 60 and 200-meter coming in second place in both with times of 7.62 and 24.52.
Victor Jumo had two second place finishes running well in the mile (4:26.78) and the 3000 meter (8:50.29).
