Peart and McDonald take first; Grizzlies have strong outing at Friends Spring Open

The Butler track and field teams continued their outdoors season at the Friends University Spring Invitational on Saturday in Wichita.

The Butler men finished second in the meet with 101 points behind Cloud County who won the meet scoring 153. The Grizzly women took fifth in the meet scoring 41 points.

Five athletes finished atop the podium in their specific event as the Grizzlies were dominant in all the sprint events throughout the day. A handful of other athletes finished inside the top five.
