Bird Picks Up Women’s NJCAA Track and Field Athlete of the Week Award

Butler track and field and cross country athlete Khloi Bird picked up her second national honor of the 2023-24 season on Tuesday.
Bird, a Topeka native, was named the Women's NJCAA Track and Field Athlete of the Week after a stellar showing in the Grizzlies first two indoor meets.
At Nebraska's Graduate Classic on Saturday, Bird ran 10:17.13 in the women's 300m which qualified her for the NJCAA Nationals later this season and is the top mark in the NJCAA this season. She finished in fourth in the race behind runners from NW Missouri, Nebraska and Creighton.
Bird had an impressive cross country campaign in 2023 as she won three races and was named NJCAA Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week on Oct. 4th.
The Grizzlies return to action at the Washburn Rust Buster on Saturday, Jan. 20th.
