Women’s Track and Field Opens Indoor Season at Kansas State

In the women's mile Butler had three finishers. Alison Unruh (5:39.59) in fifth, Alexa Marshall (5:54.16) in sixth and Valyrie Freeman (5:58.59) in seventh.
Destiny Ponds jumped 4.82m in the women's long jump for a ninth-place finish.
La Tanya Johnson finished second in the women's 1000m (3:37.40).
Butler returns to the track this Saturday as they travel to Pittsburg State for the NAIA/JUCO Challenge.
