Butler Cross County teams both ranked inside Top-10

After an impressive start to the season, now just three meets in, both the men's and women's Butler Cross Country teams find themselves inside the Top-10 in the county in this week's United States Track and Field and Cross-Country Coaches Association National Poll.

The Butler women check in at No. 5 this week, their highest ranking in recent years. Hutchinson sits at No. 2, the highest KJCCC team in the poll. Cloud County and Dodge City move up to No. 8 & No. 9 respectively.

While the Butler men move up two spots this week to No. 7. KJCCC opponent Colby sits atop the ranking this week at No. 1 after a strong outing at the Chile Pepper Festival last weekend and Northwest Kansas Tech is No. 6 this week.

Khloi Bird anchors the women's team as she has really had a strong start to the season. The men are led by Rodgers Rotich who has won two meets and placed 5th in his three outings this season.

Up next for Butler is a home meet next Friday, October 14th when they host the Ollie Isom Invitational in El Dorado.
