Foster scores another hat trick in 10-1 win over Garden City

EL DORADO, Kan. – Morgan Foster scored three first-half goals to lead No. 8 Butler to a 10-1 conference victory over Garden City on Friday at BG Products Veterans Sports Complex.

For Foster, it is her second hat trick in the past three games, as she also scored four in a road game at Pratt on Sept. 18. It is Foster's fourth career hat trick. She also had three goals as a freshman in games against Hesston and Independence.

Butler had nine goals in the first half against Garden City. Brittney Lawrence scored two and Kelly Sutton, Darci Nightingale, Alyssia Salinas and Madison Wedekind all scored goals before halftime. Jessica Meadows added one more in the second half for Butler.

Butler gave up a goal eary in the second half to Garden's Deydi Depaz. The Grizzlies had 38 shots on goal in the contest. Keeper Kelsi Langley had one save for Butler.

The Grizzlies are 8-2 overall, while improving to 3-0 in Jayhawk Conference play.
