In 2010, Benitez experienced even more success on the field.  The sophomore surpassed her previous goals mark by notching 45 across 19 games with nine assists.  By the end of the season, Benitez was second in the nation in goals scored and in points with 99.  The Grizzlies were able to capture a 15-5-0 overall record and a 10-2-0 region record.  Butler was tabbed as the No. 11 team in the country in the final NSCAA National Ranking.  Benitez led the Grizzlies to the NJCAA Region 6 Championship, before falling in overtime.  The 2010 Grizzlies also led the conference with a 3.23 GPA to capture their sixth academic conference championship while also being named NSCAA and NJCAA Team Academic Award winners.  Benitez replicated her freshman accolades becoming a two-time First Team All-Conference, First Team All-Region 6, NSCAA Division I All-America First Team, and NJCAA Division I First Team All-America honoree.
