Grizzlies pick up series sweep with two wins in Pratt

The Butler Grizzlies picked up their first conference sweep of the season with two wins on Saturday, sweeping a doubleheader at Pratt with a 6-2 win in game one before winning their fourth consecutive game with an 11-6 victory in game two.

 

Game One

Izack Tiger was the star in game one, as he pitched six innings and gave up only one run, clinching his sixth victory of the season with a five strikeout performance.

The Grizzlies scored six runs on seven hits in the winning effort, as Zach Stroh starred with two RBI's to lead the team in the game one victory.

 

Game Two

Cooper Torres had four RBI's and Sam Siegel had three as the Grizzlies offense exploded for 11 runs  to seal the doubleheader and series sweep. A five run sixth inning and a three run seventh cemented the victory for the Grizzlies as they came from behind for the win.

Corbin Tally earned the win, pitching five innings and giving up three runs on three hits, striking out six batters for his fourth win of the year.

 

The sweep improves Butler's record to 25-16 and 14-10 in conference play. They'll return to McDonald Stadium on Tuesday for a one game bout with Neosho County.
